Gregory Harvey’s roots run deep in Champaign County, where he was born, raised, and continues to live, work, and serve. A proud graduate of Urbana High School, Greg grew up surrounded by the values of hard work, community spirit, and perseverance. While attending Urbana, Greg was an active member of the school’s tennis team, learning firsthand the importance of teamwork, discipline, and dedication—principles that have guided him throughout his personal and professional life.
Greg’s connection to Champaign County extends beyond his upbringing. His future as a Municipal Judge will be shaped by his long-standing commitment to the community that has nurtured him. Over the years, Greg has volunteered his time and expertise to numerous local organizations, including serving as a Board Member and President of the Champaign County Historical Society, where he worked to preserve the area’s rich history. As President of the Champaign County Bar Association, Greg has led with integrity and dedication to upholding high legal standards in the community.
Looking forward, Greg envisions his role as Municipal Judge as one where fairness, accessibility, and community values take center stage. He plans to use his experience as an attorney, prosecutor, and magistrate to ensure that the judicial system is transparent and just for all Champaign County residents. His dedication to serving both the legal system and the public will drive him to lead the court with integrity, applying the law while considering the unique challenges and needs of the people he has grown up with.
