Meet Greg

Gregory Harvey is a dedicated legal professional with a deep commitment to his community in Champaign County, Ohio. A proud graduate of Urbana High School, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Wittenberg University, followed by a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. He then obtained his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University, where he served as a Student Attorney at the Washtenaw County Public Defender Office, gaining invaluable experience in legal representation.

Greg's diverse legal career spans various roles, including Associate Attorney at The Meranda Law Firm, Attorney at Law in Urbana, and Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Champaign County, where he managed a substantial caseload of 300-400 cases annually. He then became a Partner at MacGillivray, Estes, & Harvey, LLP, where he further honed his litigation skills before establishing his own practice, Harvey Law LLC. Currently serving as a Magistrate at the Champaign County Municipal Court, Greg oversees all criminal, civil, and legal matters within the court's jurisdiction.

Recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer - Rising Star for 2023, 2024 & 2025. Greg is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of legal practice. His commitment extends beyond the courtroom; he actively participates in community organizations as the current President of the Champaign County Bar Association; Trustee & Member to his family church; Board Member and Past President of the Champaign County Historical Society; past board member of the Champaign/Logan Counties Drug & Alcohol Board; as well as a Trustee for the Champaign County Arts Council. He is also a long-serving member of the local Harmony 8 Masonic Lodge.

Outside of his professional commitments, Greg cherishes spending quality time with his family. He enjoys working on cars, weather spotting, and participating in community events and fundraisers, reflecting his strong connection to the people and culture of Champaign County. Greg’s dedication to his family and community drives his passion for serving as a Municipal Court Judge, ensuring that justice is accessible and fair for all.
